“Great name for a blog, but what is this thing about?”

In 2020, I was sitting in a cramped Brooklyn apartment, pulling at my hair—the universal sign of a self-inflicted existential crisis.

“Babe,” I said to my wife, who had just put our 14-month-old down for a nap and was ready for some peace. “I can’t think of a name for my blog. I don’t even know what it’s about.”

Quick as a whip, she smirked, penciled her arm in the air like she was revealing a letter on Wheel of Fortune, and blurted out:

Thought Dumpling!”

That’s how this whole thing started. There was no real direction or intention. Just a creative itch that needed scratching. So began a biweekly series of stories and observations from my life as a dad, corporate worker, and an everyday human who loves creativity and the art of making things.

Since then, Thought Dumpling has evolved from a simple creative exercise into my own publication, where I share thoughts and reflections about life, creativity, and work.

I think too much and write too little. My newsletter, Thought Dumpling, is where I try to balance the two.
